2017 Warrior Open Golf Tournament
Honoring service and sacrifice inspired by the courage of those who have volunteered to wear our nation’s uniform, the Bush Institute’s Military Service Initiative highlights members of the U.S. Armed Forces who serve and sacrifice to defend our freedom. The military Service Initiative also heralds the military service organizations who give their time, talents, and resources to support our brave men and women in uniform and their families. The Warrior Open golf tournament hosted by President George W. Bush features members of our Armed Forces who were severely wounded in the global war on terror. This tournament is an opportunity to recognize the patriotism and sacrifices of those who have given so selflessly to protect our country. Their courage reminds us that even though they are wounded, they are not done fighting.
Stonebridge Chiropractic Serves
Dr. Andrew Oteo with Stonebridge Chiropractic in The Colony, TX is honored with the opportunity to participate in the medical team for the Warrior Open again this year. He has volunteered on the medical team from 2011- 2017 to keep these wounded warriors on the golf course and functioning at their best. The doctors participating continue to be inspired by the courage of these warriors as they share in their stories. Many of the injuries sustained by these soldiers in combat resulted in advanced rehabilitation at VA hospitals, including multiple surgeries and amputations. In the face of great adversity, these men have pushed themselves, relearned to play a sport they love, and given no quarter to pain and physical limitations.
“A big thank you to Dr. Oteo for keeping my back adjusted, aligned and the necessary pieces stretched out pre and post round at the Bush Center Warrior Open. You guys are amazing, professional and absolutely masters of your specialty. Thank you for keeping this tired and sore body moving!” ~Bill Rosborough, USMC (Ret.)
