2017 Warrior Open Golf Tournament
Honoring service and sacrifice inspired by the courage of those who have volunteered to wear our nation’s uniform, the Bush Institute’s Military Service Initiative highlights members of the U.S. Armed Forces who serve and sacrifice to defend our freedom. Secondly, the military Service Initiative also heralds the military service organizations who give their time, talents, and resources to support our brave men and women in uniform and their families. President George W. Bush hosts the open. The golf tournament features members of our Armed Forces who were severely wounded during the global war on terror. This tournament is an opportunity to recognize the patriotism and sacrifices of those who protect our country. The wounded still have fights ahead of them. Their warriors courage reminds us of this. Because of their courage, we reap the reward that is freedom.
Stonebridge Chiropractic Serves
Dr. Andrew Oteo with Stonebridge Chiropractic is honored with the opportunity to participate. He has volunteered on the medical team from 2011- 2017. Ultimately, the mission is to keep these wounded warriors on the golf course and functioning at their best. These warriors inspire while they share their stories. Many of the injuries sustained by these soldiers in combat resulted in advanced rehabilitation at VA hospitals. Many with multiple surgeries and amputations. In the face of great adversity, these men have pushed themselves past their pain, and relearned to play a sport they love.
“A big thank you to Dr. Oteo for keeping my back adjusted, aligned and the necessary pieces stretched out pre and post round at the Bush Center Warrior Open. You guys are amazing, professional and absolutely masters of your specialty. Thank you for keeping this tired and sore body moving!” ~Bill Rosborough, USMC (Ret.)
